My work revolves around nature, beauty, and life. When I think about nature – it is anything and everything in God’s creation, from the vast and gigantic to the microscopic. Lewis Wolberg, a psychiatrist fascinated by the aesthetics of science, nature, and art, wondered why the representations of artists so often resemble microscopic structures. He discovered, in part, that artists respond to “the same interacting processes that operate in all of creation.” When I think about beauty and aesthetics – it involves utilizing the principles of art and design which are also part of creation. When I think about life – it includes living and sharing the experiences that we were created to have. I believe that I was created to share glimpses of my life experiences through my art – “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” “Let me live that I may praise you.” (Psalm 139:14 & 119:175a) - I create to give honor and praise to my Creator.
